****We truly hope all of our families have had minimal damage due to the Fall Snow Storm of 2011 and your power has been restored.****

Board of Directors 2012:

As the 2011 board of Directors has exits and the 2012 enters, I would like to introduce you to this years Board of Directors:

Jessica Gragnaniello - Has joined the board and will play a big part in fundraising and our end of season event
Matt Hoyt -  Has joined the board and will be assisting in the development of the younger divisions.

Our goal was to make sure that each division has fair representation in the board discussions and with the above board, I feel that we have that going forward.

Saying farewell to exiting Board members –

Ed Marsh - Has been part of our league and the board for many years. He has done every job ever asked of him as well as helped when anyone needed help. As Ed steps down from the board, you may still see him around the fields. Ed has been tapped to be the next Cal Ripken District Commissioner responsible for our league as well as the whole southern district. Please join me in wishing good luck to Ed.
Tom Feola - Has made the decision to not continue on the Poughkeepsie Babe Ruth Board for 2012. Tom was successful in turning around the Rookie division and keeping the talent pool growing. Tom is also a sponsor in our league.
Vinny Gragnaniello - Vinny served as our safety officer for the 2011 season. As Vinny exits the board, his wife Jessica joins the board. Vinny helped to coordinate our winterizing of our batting cages and worked on the score boards to replace the controls allowing better signal reception.

Gentlemen, I hope to see all of you on the field in 2012

Thank you.....

There were many non board members who have helped this past year and helped us to maintain the level of quality that goes in to putting together a successful program. Our program is at 468 players for 2011 with a record 45 teams. As you can imagine, the undertaking is pretty large and the board works twelve months a year in order to keep meet our goals for the season. without running the risk of missing a member, I would like to thank all those who have helped us and hope that you will continue to help going forward from managers and coaches to division coordinators, from concession stand workers and shoppers to All Star game announcers and official scorers. to those who lent their time to help other kids in the league to those who lent their time to work on the fields that our kids played on. Thank you again.

As the 2012 board takes shape, please keep checking our website at www.pokbaberuth.org for upcoming events, 2012 registration packages and clinics or indoor practices. You can also find us on Facebook, where you can take part in discussions on volunteering, fields, all stars, etc.

Feel free to reach out to me with any questions or comments.

Thank you,
Vinny D'Amato
