Our league consists of Cal Ripken Divisions: TBall ages 4-5, Rookie: Rookie A (Coach Pitch) 6-7 and Rookie AA (Player Pitch) 7-8, Minors 9-10, Majors 11-12 and Babe Ruth Divisions: Juniors 13-15, Seniors 16-18.

Changes to our Rookie Division

The current Rookie Division in Poughkeepsie's Babe Ruth - Cal Ripken League will be split into two divisions - Rookie A (Coach Pitch) and Rookie AA (Player Pitch). More information can be found on our Rookie Division page and on our FAQ.

Registration

Registration for the Spring 2012 season starts in December. Register before February 12th to avoid a late fee.

Opening Day Raffle/Auction

We are starting to prepare for Opening Day! We are looking for donations for our Basket Raffle. This is a great way to get some advertising for your business! We will include your business card with the basket. Your business information will also be displayed at the raffle as well as on our website prior to the raffle. We are looking for items, gift cards, or certificates for services that can become part of a themed basket. We will take care of putting the basket together. If you would like to donate a completed basket that would be great too. Please contact us at info@pokbaberuth.org if you have any items you wish to donate.

March 10, April 14 (Opening Day), May 12

Lunch or Dinner. Eat in or Take Out.
Either way, the league gets up to 20% of all sales.
Vouchers must be turned in at time of payment.
Spread the word. The more the merrier!

League Capital Improvements

Our league is a non-profit 501c(3) organization run entirely by volunteers. Funds remaining after covering general league expenses are used to improve the league. Here are some of the planned improvements:

  • Batting Cage Mats (2012)
  • Infield repairs (2012)
  • Field equipment (rakes, etc) (2012)
  • New helmets, Catchers gear (2012)
  • "L" screens for fields at Red Oaks Mill (2012)
